What is your photography style?

My photography is deeply rooted in photojournalism with influences of traditional, editorial and creative fine-art to create expressive imagery. I call my photos bright and bold. Bright colors and scenes to set the stage filled with bold couples and emotions. I blend in with the crowd to take authentic candids and capture emotions and at times, I influence the environment for best outcomes. I also like to think of my photography as timeless. I want your photos to look as beautiful as the day we took them for all time.

What photography pricing do you offer for weddings?

My wedding photography packages and pricing start at $3000. Most couples spend about $4000 for packages that can include second photographers and engagement sessions. Send me a message via my contact page and I’ll send you my full investment guide and wedding galleries for review. I like things to be simple and stress-free!

How do I pick a wedding photographer?

You should find a wedding photographer thats going to be a trusted advisor for you before and during wedding day because your photographer can spend 12+ hours with you on your day. Having a photographer you can be comfortable around while knowing they have your best interest in mind is vital. You should always ask to see a full wedding gallery, not just the highlights while in the selection process. Make sure you address any concerns you have about your day and see if they can help you navigate them. Also make sure their style fits your needs whether its bright, dark or natural looking photography.

Do you photograph weddings outside of MD/VA/DC?

Absolutely! Destination weddings, elopements, weddings in different states and international weddings are all services I offer. Reasonable travel fees apply and vary but in most cases include cost of travel and hotel accommodations. We discuss all fees up front so there are no surprises.

Do you only photograph weddings?

Nope, I do a lot more! I also provide commercial, event, proposal, family and portrait photography! However, I do not have a studio. The majority of my photography occurs in venues, outdoor or provided work spaces including homes and offices.

Have you shot at my venue before?

I have shot at venues all across Maryland, Virginia, Washington, DC and a few other states. Regardless if I have been to your venue or not, I always arrive early to scout the venue, meet your vendors and VIPs and perform a walkthrough for your wedding day. 

Will you be photographing my wedding?

 YES! You ALWAYS get me for any wedding (or session). I’ll be there bright and early in my best shirt and tie, fueled by hot chocolate and breakfast cupcakes. Call, text, email, weddings, engagements; I will always be there for you. Depending on your wedding package, I may have a second photographer with me as well. My associate photographers are also professional photographers and have been briefed on everything about your wedding!

Do you also provide videography?

No, I do not provide video. Videography and photography are very different art forms. I specialize only in photography and would never offer a service to you that doesn’t represent the quality of product and service I stand behind.

What if you’re sick and can’t make my wedding?

I’ve never missed a single wedding. In the event that I am too sick to photograph your wedding, I have contingency plans in place to cover your wedding. I have a great network of professional photographers who would be ready to step in and I’m confident in their professionalism and their ability to provide you with beautiful wedding photography.

Okay, but If you die though??

 If I am dead, I can promise you I will 100% not be at your wedding. As mentioned above, I have a great network of professional photographers who would be totally grief stricken but ready to provide photography in the event of my sad, untimely demise.

What if our ceremony/wedding is religiously or culturally different from the traditional, American wedding?

I do my best to research and ask a million questions to understand everything about your wedding. I won’t pretend to be an expert. What I will do is prepare my butt off so I can provide the best photography, while trying to learn and enjoy your wedding as much as I can. 

Do you deliver every image you shoot?

No, I do not. I delete duplicate images, test shots, blurry shots, shots with bad expressions and other images that may lessen the overall product. For wedding days, I can take upward of 2000 images! I promise you, you are getting back the absolute best.

Do I get the copyrights to my photos?

Owning the photos and owning the copyright to the photos are different. Yes, you own non-commercial rights to your photos. You can post, share and print them any way you would like. The only thing you cannot do is try to turn a profit from these photos. The copyright (including commercial rights of the photos) belong to me. I tend to post, share and print photos. Sometimes I submit photos to digital and print publications. However, before I ever submit any photograph, I ask you for your permission and consent. Some things are better kept close to the heart and I’m okay with that!

Can you hold a wedding date for me? 

Sorry, I cannot hold a date for a wedding in fairness to my other couples. Deposits are required to secure your wedding date and is my promise to you that your wedding date is YOUR wedding date. No double bookings, no partial-wedding coverage, no other events. One day dedicated to you!

Will you help me with planning my wedding?

Absolutely! I love everything about weddings and will help with anything I possible can. We will go through our own planning process of our own to create a mood board, VIP list for your group portraits and we will even create our own photography timeline so that we know exactly what we are doing the day of your wedding.

I want you for my wedding! What do I do?

Yay! Let’s do it! Fill out a contact form so we can start planning! My couples and I go through a planning phase which includes my questionnaire, contract and selecting or creating a package that fits their needs. If you selected a package with an engagement session, we will start planning that as well!
